ACE immediate past council chair seeks restoration of university status as College inaugurates new governing council

The immediate past Chairman of the governing council of Adeyemi College of Education (ACE) Ondo, His Excellency, Ambassador Musa John Jen, has appealed to the Federal Government for the restoration of the university status of the College. Ambassador Jen made the appeal while speaking at the formal presentation of the Chairman and members of the newly inaugurated governing council to the College community on Tuesday June 13, 2017. The former Nigerian envoy to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, described ACE Ondo as a pace-setter and one of the best College of education in Nigeria. He commended the Provost of the institution, Prof. Olukoya Ogen, for his outstanding leadership qualities, performance and passion for the advancement of the College, particularly his efforts at ensuring the actualization of the upgrade of the College to a University of Education. ACE Provost gets award, dedicate to former teacher

The Provost of Adeyemi College of Education (ACE) Ondo, Prof. Olukoya Ogen, has been conferred with the award of Outstanding Alumnus by the institution’s School of Arts and Social Sciences. The award was given at the 9th Annual Conference of the school, held on Tuesday June 7, 2017 in the College. Speaking on the award, Prof. Ogen, who had his Bachelor Degree in Historyfrom the institution, congratulated the organizers and expressed happiness for the honour. The Provost later announced the dedication of the award to his former teacher, Dr. Adegboyega Ajayi, who taught him while he was a student in the College. Dr. Adegboyega Ajayi, who is still in active service and physically present on the occasion, was the former Deputy Provost in the College and currently lectures in the Department of History, School of Arts and Social Sciences in the institution.
