ITF OFFICIALS ORIENTATE ACEONDO COMPUTER SCIENCE AND VOC AND TECH STUDENTS
The Industrial Training Fund(ITF) from Akure on Friday visited Adeyemi College of Education
Ondo, to orientate the students on how to do a
successful Students Industrial Work Experience
scheme (SIWES). The orientation program was
organised by the college management and the ITF.
and all students from the school of vocational
and technical education.
The program was anchored by the SIWES coordinator
from the department of computer science Dr
Olajide which start by introducing the
officials from the ITF which are Mr Adewole, Mr Oladimeji,
Mr Ajadi, Eng. Abiodun and a guest from Wesley
university. A welcome address was presented by
the college SIWES coordinator which advice
student to sit tight, listen to the ITF's Officials carefully
and ask questions where necessary.
The area manager which was represented sensitize
the students on the overview of SIWES program.
understand the duration of SIWES program for
universities, polytechnics and colleges of education
which are 6months, 4month and 4month
respectively.
Introduction of SIWES working document was
presented by Eng odukaye, he made the students to
understand the usefulness of SCAF form, FORM-8
and LOG book. ITF's account made the students
to understand that their bank account details
must correspond with your name in order to recieve
stipend from the Federal Government.
Also a guest from the Wesley University also
adviced students on 21 guidelines of Students Industrial Working Experience
Scheme.
Meanwhile, Progcod reported, the aceondo examination timetable re-pasted students should check the notice board for update.
